Staff Members Betty Harwood and Chad Wilkinson Win College of Letters & Science Awards

Despite tough competition for the awards, chemistry staff members continually earn college- and university-wide recognition.

In November, Betty Harwood, who is a human resources assistant for the department, won a 2012-13 Classified Staff Award from the College of Letters & Science. This award recognized exemplary classified employees who demonstrate outstanding effectiveness, innovation, and leadership while also contributing to a positive work environment.

Chad Wilkinson, general and inorganic lab director, recently won a College of Letters & Science Early Career Award. This award recognized employees who have worked for the university for fewer than seven years. Recipients demonstrate outstanding performance in their positions, promise of future contributions, and a high degree of professionalism.

The two award-winners will be recognized at a reception in May.
