Professor Jennifer Schomaker has won a 2013 Alfred P. Sloan Research Foundation Fellowship. The two-year Sloan Research Fellowships seek to “stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise.” About 125 U.S. researchers from various scientific disciplines receive the fellowships each year. The foundation says the fellowships are intended to recognize “distinguished performance and [researchers’] unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field[s].”
