Professor John Tully of Yale University 2010-11 Hirschfelder Winner

We are delighted to announce that John Tully, Sterling Professor of Chemistry at Yale University, is the winner of the 2010-11 Joseph O. Hirschfelder Prize in Theoretical Chemistry. Prof. Tully has been a member of the National Academy of Sciences since 1997, and is well known for his pioneering research on the dynamics of energy transfer and chemical reactions, at metal surfaces, in liquids, and in biological systems. Prof. Tully will visit the department during October 4-6, 2010, and will deliver three Hirschfelder lectures during that period.
