Department of Chemistry Celebrates the Class of 2026

Class of 2026 undergraduates celebrate at the Department of Chemistry Graduation Celebration.

On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Department of Chemistry recognized and celebrated the Class of 2026 baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate graduates. This year, 63 undergraduate chemistry majors, 6 master of science graduates, and 72 doctorate degree earners were included in the celebration. 

Participants, faculty, staff, and family filled the John Morgridge Lecture Hall located in the North Tower. Department Chair Sam Gellman gave opening remarks, Academic Advising Manager Katie McCullough introduced the undergraduate section of the program, and Associate Chair Program of the Undergraduate Program JR Schmidt announced the baccalaureate chemistry majors. Professor Helen Blackwell announced the masters and doctorate graduates. 

A reception following the program was held in the North Tower Atrium.
