Important Dates for Fall 2023
- June – August: Send your official undergraduate transcript to the Graduate School
- June 12 – 16: TA training for students TA–ing the summer 8–week session
- June 19 – Aug 11: Summer 8–week session
- June 27 – Sept 8: New graduate student registration for fall.
- July 18 – Aug 21: International TA course for invited new graduate students who completed their undergraduate degree at an institution where English was not the language of instruction
- Aug 21 – 24: New graduate student orientation
- Aug 28 – Sept 1: TA training
- Sept 6: Fall semester begins
- Aug 21 – Sept 7: Research group exploration period
- Sept 11 – 29: First rotation for research group joining
- Oct 2 – 20: Second rotation for research group joining
- Oct 23 – Nov 10: Third rotation for research group joining
- Nov 10 at 2 PM: Deadline to provide group joining preferences
- Dec 22 – Jan 15: Semester interim. First–year graduate students typically take a break for 10 days to 2 weeks (inclusive of weekends/federal holiday) but talk with your Ph.D. advisor closer to the date to develop a schedule that works for you both.
