Maza wins 2021 Teaching Assistant award

person smilingAndrew Maza (Landis) won the Dorothy Powelson Teaching Assistant Award, which recognizes outstanding performances by TAs in the natural sciences.

Maza was nominated by Prof. Dan Weix for his many contributions while teaching the CHEM 343/345 honors sections. Tina Wang, Shannon Stahl, Steve Burke, and many former students provided strong support for the nomination.

Chemistry department members Thomas Kuborn and Maria Zdanovskaia were also exceptional nominees for a 2020 Campus TA Award. While they were not selected, these awards are very competitive and it is quite an honor to even be nominated. You can find the full slate of winners here.
