Professor Thomas Brunold Places 13th Overall at Ironman Wisconsin

In keeping with his recent trend, Professor Thomas Brunold placed second among amateur competitors and 13th overall at the Ironman Wisconsin competition on Sept. 7. He finished the grueling 140.6-mile race in 09:14:45. More than 2,500 triathletes participated in this year’s event. The Ironman triathlon race consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a marathon 26.2-mile run. Brunold has regularly competed in the Ironman Wisconsin and has also competed in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, for which participants must qualify at races such as the Ironman Wisconsin.
