Trisha Andrew wins 3M Nontenured Faculty Award

Professor Trisha Andrew was one of five recipients of the 2013 3M Nontenured Faculty Award, which recognizes outstanding new faculty for the quality and pertinence of their research. This award recognizes Professor Andrew’s research in developing open-shell organic semiconductors for lightweight, low cost, high efficiency solar cells.

The Award is administered by 3M’s Research and Development Community in partnership with 3M’s Corporate Giving Program.  For over twenty-five years, this award has recognized outstanding new faculty who were nominated by 3M researchers and selected based on research, experience and academic leadership.  The purpose of the award is to help young faculty achieve tenure while remaining in a teaching position and conducting research.
