Matthew Otten is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin — Madison whose theoretical and computational research focuses on achieving practical quantum computing. Before UW-Madison, he was a scientist at HRL Laboratories, the Maria Goeppert Mayer Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory, and obtained his Ph.D. from Cornell University.
The Otten Lab develops and applies quantum algorithms for chemistry, dynamics, and materials, using advanced simulation and high-performance computing to explore the capabilities of emerging quantum computers.
