Title: Site- and Enantioselective Functionalization of C-H Bonds
Abstract: Site- and stereoselective functionalization of C-H bonds provides a straightforward access to highly valuable building blocks and drug candidates from easily available substrates, particularly from inexpensive petrochemicals. In the last decades, significant progress has been achieved in this field. Among them, radical pathway involving hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) represents one of most efficient approaches. However, how to achieve site selective HAT of C-H bonds and stereoselective control of carbon radicals becomes two major challenges for this target. In this talk, my presentation will focus on our recent progress, including site-selective HAT enabled by metal-bound radicals, asymmetric radical transformation, which are the key steps for the site- and enantioselective sp2 & sp3 C-H bond functionalizations, including arylation, alkynylation and alkylation.
