CHEMISTRY TEACHER FOR ONE WEEK CAMP NEEDED
What: STEPx, a one week commuter camp for 8th graders
When: July 20-24th, 9am-3pm
Where: Chemistry Building
Hello! My name is Rebecca Green and I'm the Program Assistant for a summer camp called WCATY.  We are the Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth, and we offer a variety of programming for gifted and talented students throughout the year and during the summer.  This year, we are offering a one-week commuter camp to eighth graders in the Madison area, and we are in need of a chemistry teacher.  This class is independent of any other camps that may be going on during this time period.  There are fourteen students in the class, and it runs from 9am-3pm with an hour break for lunch (included).  You will have an Educational Assistant with content knowledge to help you with class preparation and setup as well as access to a lab space.  You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of labs and interactive lectures focusing on the fundamentals of chemistry and what it means to actually do chemistry.  We would be more than happy to help with curriculum development, but you will have the freedom to structure your class periods as you see fit.  You will also be responsible for a short (about five minute) exit interview with each of your students on the last day of class, where you will discuss his or her performance throughout the week.
Please send me an email at: rkgreen3@wisc.edu if you have any questions!  Interested applicants may send a resume and brief cover letter to rkgreen3@wisc.edu.
