Each year, through the generosity of our alumni and friends, the Chemistry Department offers scholarships and summer research support for undergraduates. In 2012, the department awarded more than 30 undergraduate scholarships that totaled more than $80,000.
To apply for a 2013-14 scholarship, students must complete an online application through Scholarships@UW-Madison by Feb. 28.
Any student who is a chemistry major, a chemistry course major, or who is conducting research with a chemistry faculty member and will be enrolled as an undergraduate at UW-Madison during the 2013-14 academic year is eligible for the scholarships. An overall GPA of at least 3.0 is required for application; awards are based on both merit and financial need. Students may apply for academic year scholarships and/or summer research support. Award recipients will be notified in April.
