Industrial Trade Association Honors Alumnus Kiu-Yuen Tse

University of Wisconsin-Madison alumnus Kiu-Yuen Tse (Ph.D. ’07, Hamers) has received the 2016 Carl Dahlquist Award from the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC), a trade association for tape manufacturers and suppliers. Tse is an advanced research specialist at the 3M Corporate Research Laboratory in St. Paul, Minn. PSTC presents the award to a speaker at its annual conference who “demonstrates the very best in reseach relating to adhesive tape technology.” He is honored for his technical seminar presentation, “Innovation in Medical Adhesives.”

Tse works with pressure-sensitive adhesives for health care, electronics, industrial and consumer markets. With 3M, Tse recently has worked on the development of silicone adhesives that are gentle on skin, such as 3M Kind Removal Silicone Tape, Nexcare Sensitive Skin Products, and several other products.
