The following checklist of ten (10) items must be completed before your application to the Department of Chemistry can be considered.  Only complete applications will be processed.  More details can be found here regarding forms to be submitted to the Graduate School.

___ Complete the on-line Graduate School application form , which includes:

___ Reasons for Graduate Study essay form (may be up-load with your application or completed as part of the application itself)

___ Supplemental Application (contained in the on-line application, you must click on Submit after you complete this section or it will not be transmitted)

The supplemental application forms " Research Interests Checklist" and "Honors, Research and Publications" ARE REQUIRED FOR REVIEW OF APPLICATION. 

___ Payment of $56 application fee via credit card ( details ).

___ Official transcripts or academic records (ONE ORIGINAL) from each institution attended must be sent to the Department of Chemistry (see address below).

*International academic records must be in the original language accompanied by an official English translation. Documents must be issued by the school with the official seal/stamp and an official signature.

___ Official GRE general test scores. Institution code is 1846. Department code is 0301.

___ Official TOEFL test scores if native language is not English . Institution code is 1846. Department code is 62.

*International students who have studied in the U.S. and completed at the equivalant of two full time semesters of graded course work are exempt from this requirement.

___ Three (3) letters of recommendation. These are done electronically. Please refer to the instructions found at:
