NEW PAYROLL/BENEFIT SPECIALIST: MARC WILLADSEN
We're happy to announce Marc Willadsen has joined the department, filling the role of Payroll & Benefit Specialist.  Marc has worked in the department as a student hourly for several years and has recently completed associate degrees in business and human resources.
Marc has already taken over duties related to timesheet & leave report entry, student hourly appointments, and graduate student funding changes.  Feel free to contact him directly if you have questions regarding  these areas: mwilladsen@wisc.edu.

NEW LAB TECH IN ORGANIC INSTRUCTIONAL STOCKROOM - LAURA NKULU
We are happy to announce Laura Nkulu has joined the department, filling the role of Laboratory Technician in the organic chemistry instructional stockroom.  Laura joins us from the University of Notre Dame where she has just completed a Master's degree in chemistry, focusing upon protein binding simulations related to Ebola drug-discovery.  Please join me in welcoming Laura to the department!

Instrumentation Specialist - Chemistry. Pomona College is recruiting qualified candidates for a full time instrumentation specialist.  The successful candidate will manage research and teaching instrumentation (such as NMR,  GC-MS, LC-MS, AA, FTIR) in the Chemistry Department, while providing assistance to the Biology and Geology Departments when possible (microscopes, ICP-MS). Responsibilities will include routine maintenance, training faculty and students to use instruments, providing support in instructional and research activities and consulting on the development of experimental protocols.  Qualified candidates will possess significant experience in the use of chemical and/or biochemical instrumentation in research and teaching environments and will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum qualifications: A master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (or equivalent work experience).

Fulbright US Scholar Israel Postdoctoral Fellowship. The deadline is approaching quickly, but there is still time to put together a strong application. This unique and prestigious grant is open to researchers in all academic disciplines and support programs of work for up to 20 months (two academic years). Eligibility requirements:

          2018.

The Kritzer Laboratory is looking for postdoctoral researchers with experience in chemical biology or cell biology.
