Milliken Graduate Research Symposium
Now Accepting Applications
Call for applications! Milliken & Company invites graduate students in chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, polymer science, or related PhD program to apply to the 2016 Milliken Graduate Research Symposium. The Milliken Graduate Research Symposium, organized and hosted by our global Research organization, provides a unique opportunity for students to interact with leading industrial researchers in their working environment. Students applying should plan to defend after December 2016. Based on the application, including reference letters, eight to ten graduate students will be invited to participate in the 2016 Graduate Research Symposium. All invited students participating in the two-day Graduate Research Symposium will have expenses provided (transportation, meals, and lodging) and receive an honorarium.
During the symposium, invited graduate students will:
     •    Present their work in a 45-minute talk
     •    Participate in roundtable discussions about corporate research
     •    Network with industrial researchers
     •    Tour labs, collaborative spaces, Innovation Gallery, and Rapid Prototype Center
The 2016 Graduate Research Symposium will take place April 20-22, 2016 at Milliken's corporate headquarters, Roger Milliken Center, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. More details about the 2016 Graduate Research Symposium and the application process can be found on our website: http://www.milliken.com/en-us/Innovation/researchanddevelopment/Pages/gr.... The application deadline is January 22, 2016.
