Winter wellness workshop for faculty and staff featuring:

We’ll be discussing ways to stay active and positive throughout the rest of winter and the grey spring months ahead. Whether you’re trying to figure out how to get back into a regular exercise routine, or you’re hoping to break out of a winter funk, we’ll come prepared with information on community and Fleet Feet organized activities.

Susan Fuszard from Employee Assistant Office:

For some of us, along with snow and frigid temperatures, winter brings another predictable element: the blues. If the short, dark days of winter are getting you down, what can you do to feel like yourself again? All UW-Madison staff now have 24/7 access to an online, interactive resource that provides you with free, confidential help for mental health issues and stress management. Join Susan Fuszard of the Employee Assistance Office as she guides you through a demonstration of accessing online cognitive behavioral therapy for those who are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety, depression or stress.

Susan Fuszard, M.S., CEAP, has master’s degrees in Industrial Relations and Counseling from UW-Madison. A Wisconsin native, she has finally learned to dress for the elements and celebrate all seasons, even winter! Susan is a counselor in the Employee Assistance Office, which provides staff and family members with free, confidential personal and workplace consultation, problem solving and referral to resources.
