Kenyon College invites applications for a new tenure-track position in biochemistry at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 2010. The Chemistry Department seeks candidates having research interests complementing our Biochemistry & Molecular Biology or Neuroscience programs. Teaching responsibilities could include biochemistry lectures and labs, and introductory or advanced topic courses. Ph.D. required and post-doctoral experience preferred. Successful candidates should be committed to teaching excellence and establishing an active research program involving
undergraduates. Outstanding facilities and instrumentation for research and teaching are available; start-up funds and salary are very competitive. Kenyon College is a nationally ranked, highly selective liberal arts college located in the beautiful village of Gambier, approximately 45 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio. To apply and for more details visit: http://www.kenyon.edu/employment or contact: Prof. James Keller at kellerj@kenyon.edu. You must submit a c.v., a statement of teaching philosophy and interests, a brief description of research plans, and three letters of recommendation. We highly recommend that you also submit unofficial copies of your undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Review of dossiers will begin on October 23.

Professor Steven Regan of Lehigh University has an immediate postdoctoral opening in his "Porous and Glued Langmuir-Blodgett Membranes" project. One of our recent publications in this area illustrates the nature of work that is involved: Wang, Y.; Stedronsky, E.; Regen, S. L. "Defects in a Polyelectrolyte Multilayer:  The Inside Story", J. Am. Chem. Soc., 130, 16510-1511 (2008).  Knowledge and experience in surface chemistry, Langmuir-Blodgett films, and polymer chemistry would be especially helpful. Contact: Steven L. Regen, University Distinguished Professor, Department of Chemistry, Lehigh University, 6 East Packer Avenue, Bethlehem, PA  18015, Tel: 610-758-4842, web: http://www.lehigh.edu/~inslr.
